Le Clos Saint Gilles is a beautiful, memorable place to stay, and for our June 2026 cycling adventure in Brittany, it was one of the absolute highlights of our entire trip.
This B&B has that rare mix of rustic charm and thoughtful elegance that immediately makes you feel you’ve arrived somewhere special. The house and surrounding countryside are tranquil and picturesque, and the gardens extraordinary! (Perfect for unwinding after a long day in the saddle.)
We arrived as a group of 8 friends biking through Brittany and found the hosts, Tatiana and Thibaut, exceptionally welcoming. We enjoyed their company so much we invited them to join us for dinner at a local restaurant! There was ample space to store our bikes, relax together in the garden, and spread out comfortably in the rooms and shared areas.
Several of our rooms offer lovely views over the gardens and nearby Mont Saint Michel, adding to the sense of being immersed in the region.
Breakfast was generous and beautifully presented, with the hosts' warm, thoughtful hospitality refreshing, friendly, and genuinely invested in making our stay special with everything presented on our breakfast table directly from the property! (Delicious herbal teas, honey, caramel spread, apple juice, fresh jams, selections of breads, fresh eggs, etc.)
For this group of cycling friends, Le Clos Saint Gilles was not just a stopover but a destination in itself, and we would return in a heartbeat and recommend it wholeheartedly to other cycling groups and travelers.
